Overview

About this course

Occupational asthma (OA) is a type of work-related asthma that develops due to conditions attributable to exposures at work. It is a common debilitating workplace condition that poses significant medical, socio-economic, and legal implications.

Early diagnosis and prompt management of OA is crucial as a shorter symptomatic period is associated with a better outcome, with some cases achieving complete recovery. This e-learning module on occupational asthma presents the diagnostic approach and management of the condition, including the stepwise approach to using asthma inhalers and other asthma treatment medications.
