About this course

Urticaria, the development of evanescent wheals or hives with or without angioedema, is a very common dermatologic condition which can significantly affect patients’ quality of life. Proper management of this condition involves a thorough history and assessment, which includes evaluating disease severity and control. Non-sedating 2nd generation H1-antihistamines are the first line pharmaceutical agent for managing patients with urticaria.

This e-learning module discusses how to evaluate and assess patients with urticaria and provides a guide to its treatment with antihistamines and other medications.
