The goal of this learning activity is to provide pharmacists with a review on the importance of vaccination in pregnancy to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases such as seasonal influenza and pertussis among newborns too young to be vaccinated. Upon completing this module, participants will have a better understanding of the following aspects:

• The burden and epidemiology of pertussis and seasonal influenza

• The rationale for Tdap and influenza vaccination in pregnancy

• Current recommendations for Tdap and influenza vaccination in pregnancy

• The role of pharmacists in promoting vaccination in pregnancy
