Primary care has become the focal point for diabetes management, with primary care doctors delivering clinical care to 90% of individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2M), and this proportion likely to increase over time. The challenge is that diabetes management has become increasingly complex as a result of multiple medication categories (including combination agents), the need to avoid hyper- and hypoglycemia, myriad medical devices for managing diabetes, the need to facilitate patients’ lifestyle changes, and other issues. What core T2DM knowledge and skills do primary care doctors need to know in order to achieve optimum patient outcomes?

In this webinar marking World Diabetes Day (14 November), esteemed diabetes-treating clinicians will provide the absolute “Need to Knows” in screening, diagnosing, and treating T2DM in the Asian primary care setting, and highlight the imperative of delivering integrated, collaborative care to our patients living with diabetes.

This webinar is brought to you by the Diabetologists & Endocrinologists Alliance, the Malaysian Endocrine & Metabolic Society, the Philippine College of Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism, and MIMS Education.
